It is my honor to stand here today。 First of all， I want to thank our dean Mrs。 Li to give me this chance to deliver a speech to you。 Thanks。
This is a speech about practice report， in the first place I want to share with you about my work experience。
In the first summer vacation in the college， I changed 3 part—time jobs。 The first one was waiter； the second one was teaching assistant in Talking Time Language Village （TTLV）； the third one was interpreter in a Highway Service Station。 Maybe you will ask me how can you get 3 part—time jobs and why do you want to change it？ Actually this is a good question。 Here are 3 reasons： first I want to speak English，second I want to practice English， third I want to use English。 This was also the main reason I quitted the first one job waiter。 Then I searched TTLV online and I attended the interview and passed the teaching test。 Everything seems went smoothly， I started to work there in a few days later。 I was a teaching assistant there， I was in charge of 8 students in my class and I assisted the foreign teacher to interpret for the students during the class。 I work there for 20 days then I left because of Olympic Games in China。 So I lost， that seems God always take good care of me， one of my supervisor in TTLV recommended a good job to me after I lost a few days， that was my third job in that vacation。 I was an interpreter and I was in charge of communication with foreign friends there。 I worked there for 30 days， I got 1500RMB which was my first time to earn so much money by myself in my lifetime。
In the following winter vacation I went back to TTLV。 I was in the same position there， but different students and different teachers， so I made new friends， I got along with my foreign teachers and I improved my English a lot， especially， Brad who is an American， so well we got along with each other that he went back to my hometown with me to celebrate Spring Festival with my family， he spent 3 days with my family of course I was the only interpreter between my family and Brad。
In this summer vacation， Customized English Services which is a new comprehensive English service in Shijiazhuang was founded by Brad。 I was lucky to be selected by him。 Now I am working with him to assist him to do office work and establish business relationship with new clients。
Above all， I mentioned so much work experience of mine， almost are related to English， if I don’t know English， if I don’t speak， practice， and speak English I have nothing。 Actually I am not the best one among you， some of you are better than me， but you need to stand out to show yourself。 If you have no chance， make it； if you have a small chance， grab it and make it bigger and bigger。
English is an language it is a tool used by human， so let us be master of English let English be our servant。 We need to take advantage of English， nor does let English take advantage of you。 Before I end my speech I wish everybody be the master of English and your life， find a decent job with English in the future。 Thank you！

為了把我們所學(xué)到的英知識(shí)全面的結(jié)合起來，學(xué)院給我們安排了翻譯實(shí)習(xí)。讓我從翻譯中體會(huì)翻譯技巧，從而提高翻譯水平。同時(shí)，通過學(xué)習(xí)，培養(yǎng)我們的實(shí)際應(yīng)用能力、團(tuán)隊(duì)合作能力以及分析解決問題的能力。
此次我們的翻譯原是lucky in love，大約37張的英材料，分組進(jìn)行翻譯，每組大概有四五人，每個(gè)人都有一項(xiàng)艱巨的任務(wù)。我想老師的安排不僅是想提高我們的翻譯水平，也想培養(yǎng)大家的合作能力吧！
lucky in love，這本書我粗略的看了一下，以我現(xiàn)在的'水平，說實(shí)話看不太懂。我想原因是詞匯的缺乏，語法掌握不夠牢靠，還有就是對(duì)西方化了解不多。我被分配到翻譯第七章，這是個(gè)相當(dāng)嚴(yán)峻的任務(wù)。剛開始我就不知道小說說的什么？只是大概知道與愛有關(guān)，畢竟題目是《幸運(yùn)的愛》吧。不了解開頭講的什么就從中途看起，確實(shí)很難，所以我想上查一些有關(guān)小說的主要內(nèi)容，我想或許是老師給我們的有一大考驗(yàn)吧，上并沒有關(guān)于這本書的太多內(nèi)容，所以我還是一知半解。只能硬著頭皮往下翻了，問題很多呀！先是詞匯，有太多的詞匯我部認(rèn)識(shí)，要借助字典和絡(luò)，但問題是當(dāng)你把意思套入句中翻譯時(shí)，你會(huì)覺得不那么準(zhǔn)確，此時(shí)你就要想它的意譯了。這是一個(gè)比較難的地方。還有就是句中的形容詞與名詞太混了，分不清這也給翻譯帶來了很大的困難。我覺得最難得是句型的分析。我在這塊本來就很薄弱，句中的倒裝句和從句過多，導(dǎo)致我無從下手。我的先分析句型，在查單詞意思，最后在整合，所以浪費(fèi)了很多的時(shí)間。而且當(dāng)你把所翻譯的，在讀讀，卻又發(fā)現(xiàn)不通。看很是惱火��！
花了很多時(shí)間也沒翻譯多少，有一段時(shí)間我都想放棄了，后來我們一組的翻譯開頭的同學(xué)翻譯結(jié)束后，交了稿，我看了一下，對(duì)章的內(nèi)容有一個(gè)大概的了解了。我發(fā)現(xiàn)還是討論一下對(duì)各個(gè)人的翻譯比較。果然效果不錯(cuò)，知道大概的內(nèi)容之后，我的翻譯比較順暢了，雖然還是有不懂得地方，但明顯少了很多，而且速度也快了不少，慢慢地也上了軌道。通過這次翻譯，我學(xué)到了很多，我深刻的了解到了我有很多的不足，所以下一個(gè)階段我要做很多的準(zhǔn)備來迎接專業(yè)四級(jí)，首先，我要擴(kuò)充自己的詞匯量，加大課外英的閱讀量，其次要系統(tǒng)的復(fù)習(xí)一下語法知識(shí)，多了解一下不同語境下地對(duì)話。還要，多看看外國(guó)的電影，初步定為50部，不僅要學(xué)習(xí)里面的英，更要了解其中的化。最后就是全面復(fù)習(xí)各種技能：聽力、寫作、語法、口語等。知道了我的這些不足之后，我會(huì)更加的努力彌補(bǔ)!爭(zhēng)取達(dá)到一個(gè)全新的高度！

作為一名商務(wù)俄語專業(yè)的學(xué)生。我的工作內(nèi)容是翻譯。在這一過程中，我采用了看、問、學(xué)等方式，初步了解了工作中的具體業(yè)務(wù)知識(shí)，拓展了所學(xué)的專業(yè)知識(shí)。為以后正常工作的展開奠定了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)，從個(gè)人發(fā)展方面說，對(duì)我影響最大的應(yīng)該是作為一個(gè)社會(huì)人工作作風(fēng)以及在工作過程中專業(yè)知識(shí)對(duì)工作的重要作用，因?yàn)檫@些都是我在校學(xué)習(xí)中不曾接觸過的方面，所以我將在報(bào)告中首先講述我在實(shí)習(xí)期間積累的這方面的認(rèn)識(shí)和經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
畢業(yè)實(shí)習(xí)是每個(gè)大學(xué)生必須擁有的一段經(jīng)歷，它使我們?cè)趯?shí)踐中了解社會(huì)，讓我們學(xué)到了很多在課堂上根本就學(xué)不到的知識(shí)，受益匪淺，也打開了視野，增長(zhǎng)了見識(shí)，為我們以后進(jìn)一步走向社會(huì)打下堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
由于我所在工作的地方是邊疆一帶，所以我剛開始的工作非常忙，感覺很累。很耗時(shí)間，第一天腰酸背痛的。但是過了幾天就稍有點(diǎn)習(xí)慣了，每天學(xué)習(xí)很多知識(shí)。剛步入工作崗位，才發(fā)現(xiàn)自己有很多都不懂的。有空閑的時(shí)候就會(huì)看一些與專業(yè)相關(guān)的書，我現(xiàn)在上班近兩個(gè)月了，在這短短一個(gè)多月中，曾有幾次想過干完一個(gè)月不干了。也許我是剛開始工作，有時(shí)受不了經(jīng)理給的“氣”，自己心里很不舒服，就想辭職再重新?lián)Q個(gè)工作得了。但靜下心來仔細(xì)想想，再換個(gè)工作也是的，在別人手底下工作不都是這樣么?剛開始。就應(yīng)該踏踏實(shí)實(shí)的干自己的工作，畢竟又沒有工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)，現(xiàn)在有機(jī)會(huì)了就要從各方面鍛煉自己。不然，想念以后干什么都會(huì)干不的。我現(xiàn)在的工作，相比其他人來說待遇挺不錯(cuò)的了，也不是和其他人比，工作也不是很難，很容易進(jìn)入工作，關(guān)鍵是學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)人怎么說話、態(tài)度及其處事。由于經(jīng)驗(yàn)少，我現(xiàn)在這方面還有欠缺。
現(xiàn)在才明白，在校做一名學(xué)生，是多么的啊!早晚要工作，早晚要步入社會(huì)，早晚要面對(duì)這些避免不了的事。所以，現(xiàn)在我很珍惜學(xué)習(xí)的機(jī)會(huì)，多學(xué)一點(diǎn)總比沒有學(xué)的，花同樣的.時(shí)間，還不如多學(xué)，對(duì)以后擇業(yè)會(huì)有很大的幫助。
兩個(gè)月的實(shí)習(xí)期很快就過去了，美的東西總是稍縱即失。
“千里之行，始于足下”，這短暫而又充實(shí)的實(shí)習(xí)，我認(rèn)為對(duì)我走向社會(huì)起到了一個(gè)橋梁的作用，過渡的作用，是人生的一段重要的經(jīng)歷，也是一個(gè)重要步驟，對(duì)將來走上工作崗位也有著很大幫助。向他人虛心求教，遵守組織紀(jì)律和單位規(guī)章制度，與人明交往等一些做人處世的基本原則都要在實(shí)際生活中認(rèn)真的貫徹，的習(xí)慣也要在實(shí)際生活中不斷培養(yǎng)。這一段時(shí)間所學(xué)到的經(jīng)驗(yàn)和知識(shí)是我一生中的一筆寶貴財(cái)富。事無大小，自己都傾力而為，在這過程中不僅培養(yǎng)了自己認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé)的工作態(tài)度，也培養(yǎng)了自己的耐心和韌勁
我在實(shí)習(xí)的過程中，既有收獲的喜悅，也有一些遺憾。也許是實(shí)習(xí)日子短的關(guān)系，但時(shí)通過實(shí)習(xí)，加深了我對(duì)專業(yè)知識(shí)基本的理解，豐富了我的用運(yùn)能力，使我對(duì)日常管理工作有了一定的感性和理性認(rèn)識(shí)。認(rèn)識(shí)到要做日常管理工作，既要注重管理理論知識(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)，更重要的是要把實(shí)踐與理論兩者緊密相結(jié)合。
這次實(shí)習(xí)也讓我深刻了解到，在工作中和同事保持良的關(guān)系是很重要的。做事首先要學(xué)做人，要明白做人的道理，如何與人相處是現(xiàn)代社會(huì)的做人的一個(gè)最基本的問題。對(duì)于自己這樣一個(gè)即將步入社會(huì)的人來說，需要學(xué)習(xí)的東西很多，他們就是最的老師，正所謂“三人行，必有我?guī)煛保覀兛梢韵蛩麄儗W(xué)習(xí)很多知識(shí)、道理。

大二的下學(xué)，我的職責(zé)是俄語翻譯，翻譯一些資料。實(shí)習(xí)的目的是增加社會(huì)實(shí)踐經(jīng)驗(yàn)，迅速將翻譯理論知識(shí)應(yīng)用到實(shí)踐當(dāng)中，并加強(qiáng)使用計(jì)算機(jī)和翻譯工具的能力。
翻譯實(shí)踐的過程中，我總結(jié)了4種必備的翻譯工具：一是靈格斯翻譯工具，里面可安裝簡(jiǎn)明俄漢詞典、新俄漢詞典、大俄漢詞典、俄漢實(shí)用工業(yè)技術(shù)詞典；二是百度搜索工具；三是google搜索工具；四是яндех搜索工具——專業(yè)的俄搜索工具。翻譯的具體步驟可如下：首先可以現(xiàn)在靈格斯里查詢不懂的單詞或詞組，尋找最符合原的解釋。當(dāng)然這只是最基本的做法，但是由于缺少專業(yè)的科技詞典，在靈格斯往往是查詢不出所需的單詞或語義。于是，求助于google和яндех則是很有必要的。按照我自己的經(jīng)驗(yàn)來說，我采取同時(shí)在google和яндех搜索的做法，并對(duì)同種搜索工具搜索結(jié)果進(jìn)行比較。它們有著各自的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn)。google的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是打開俄頁面的同時(shí)可以同時(shí)打開另外一個(gè)翻譯頁面，即google可以自動(dòng)把頁面從來源語俄語翻譯成漢語，而缺點(diǎn)是經(jīng)常發(fā)生翻譯錯(cuò)誤，翻譯的可信度是50%。яндех的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是用俄語詞組和句子解釋俄語詞匯，意義更準(zhǔn)確，更貼近原，而缺點(diǎn)就是有時(shí)用于釋義的詞匯過于深?yuàn)W，過于專業(yè)，相當(dāng)于用更專業(yè)的詞匯解釋專業(yè)詞匯，即難上加難。所以我認(rèn)為最后就需要用到百度工具了。結(jié)合google和яндех的參考翻譯，用百度搜索翻譯過的專業(yè)詞匯，查看是否有相同或相近的專業(yè)用語，之后才確定出最準(zhǔn)確的譯法。
自己校對(duì)，虛心地向本專業(yè)的老師和材料學(xué)院的老師請(qǐng)教。首先進(jìn)行的自己去校對(duì)。原以為會(huì)限于“當(dāng)局者迷”之說而不懂查看、修改自己的.譯。但認(rèn)真看完一遍譯之后才知道自己的眼睛還算是銳利的，檢查出不少錯(cuò)誤。比如最明顯的一處是有一個(gè)句子翻譯得不通順，如果是一個(gè)沒看過原的人肯定是看不懂得。還有專業(yè)術(shù)語的譯錯(cuò)。但錯(cuò)的最離譜的是編輯排版上的錯(cuò)誤。于是我反復(fù)對(duì)照原和譯之后，及時(shí)把發(fā)現(xiàn)的錯(cuò)誤都改了過來。之后我找到了材料學(xué)院的一個(gè)同學(xué)，她的專業(yè)能力一直都是優(yōu)異，她無疑是能夠幫我校對(duì)的幫手。我讓她幫我看我的譯，查找出不符合材料專業(yè)方面的詞匯或句子，并提出相關(guān)問題和相應(yīng)地譯法建議，之后我根據(jù)她的意見參照原，采用了其中可取的建議。最后我就需要找本專業(yè)老師的對(duì)我進(jìn)行針對(duì)性的指導(dǎo)了。我把之前摘錄在本子上的疑點(diǎn)。難點(diǎn)句一一請(qǐng)教老師，比如應(yīng)該怎樣正確分析句子的結(jié)構(gòu)，何種情況下采用拆分語義翻譯，何時(shí)應(yīng)該直譯。老師講得很詳細(xì)很耐心，似乎想把自身積累下來的翻譯經(jīng)驗(yàn)全部都傳授給我了。此行確實(shí)受益匪淺，越來越明白到做一個(gè)合格的翻譯工作者不容易，要想做一個(gè)優(yōu)秀的翻譯工作者則是更難了，必須同時(shí)具有高水平的語言能力和某一領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)知識(shí)。
經(jīng)過幾天的翻譯工作，心里感觸良多，收獲也頗多，細(xì)細(xì)梳理了第一次真正的翻譯生涯，總結(jié)出了幾點(diǎn)體會(huì)。
1、翻譯的工作性質(zhì)需要我們仔細(xì)、認(rèn)真并且耐心。翻譯是一項(xiàng)慢中出細(xì)活的工作，要坐得住，穩(wěn)得住，要一絲不茍地對(duì)待，字字斟酌，句句思量，嚴(yán)格遵守“信、雅、達(dá)”的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，力求把譯翻譯得通順準(zhǔn)確，忠實(shí)原。
2、俄語和其他學(xué)科知識(shí)的積累。毫無疑問，要想成為一個(gè)出色的翻譯工作者，就必須同時(shí)具有高水平的語言能力和某一領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)知識(shí)。這一次的翻譯實(shí)踐大大拓寬了我的視野，積累了不少專業(yè)的俄語詞匯，也逐漸認(rèn)清科技俄語章的翻譯特點(diǎn)。
3、計(jì)算機(jī)操作能力提高，尤其是俄語打字的水平�，F(xiàn)在翻譯章無不需要借助于電腦，翻譯的過程中直接考驗(yàn)了一個(gè)人的打字水平，現(xiàn)在我的俄打字速度已經(jīng)相當(dāng)快了，即使沒有俄鍵盤照樣能熟練打字。
4、增加了做一個(gè)合格翻譯工作者的信心。第一次真正的翻譯實(shí)踐就得到了褒獎(jiǎng)，大大增加了我的信心。我相信自己的能力，對(duì)自己的翻譯生涯充滿了熱切的期待。也許我不是天才，不能一下子就成為優(yōu)秀的翻譯者，但我愿意先從一個(gè)合格的翻譯者做起，從合格到優(yōu)秀，一直努力，一直在進(jìn)步，這才是我一生所應(yīng)該追求的夢(mèng)想。
總而言之，實(shí)習(xí)是我通向職業(yè)之路的踏腳板，翻譯助我通往人生的成功之路。

This August I found a new job which is a recruiting manager of a famous software company.Because of the operation of our company is providing world-cla IT solutions to global clients.
So every position requires good English communication skills including mine.In this job I lead a hiring team and be responsible for supporting staffer needs of the testing department.
The latter half of the year is the busiest period, because many new projects have been proceing.Almost all the project teams are short of hands.
Software outsourcing is an agreement that provides deadlines for completion of the work.If we could not find employable engineers in time, the vender must change the order to other competitory company.
In order to drive for quality hire with short cycle time.I communicate with testing projects leaders to know every projcet’s distinctive characteristic, technical details, position salary and tensity of the task.
Then list a rate of progre, arrange recruiters in charge of different project according this plan.
For expedite the recruiting progre, I also take on the role with responsibility for ADOBE and EMC (clients’ company).Define the job and recruiting action plan.
Choosing resumes, interviewing with candidates and commending qualified candidates to attend client’s final test are my daily grind, to most effectively coordinate with staffing procees.If the candidates pa the final test, we will announce correlative dept to transact procedure.Implement testing department staffing procees to ensure compliance.Up to last month our recruiter team has hired seventy eight qualified staffers including I found the nineteen engineers.

5. New Skills and Information Gained

6. Difficulties Encountered
During that period, I inevitably encountered a lot of difficulties but luckily within my management. For the technical terms, I always turn to the internet for help. For the figures, especially those over millions or billions, I ask myself to hold my breath and be patient. Many words are found hard to express although they are with highly frequent use in Chinese. Therefore I should often refer to the internet where it may give a clue.
7. My Shortcomings
Figures are always my headache. I will be at sea and lose my thought when facing a large number of figures. Sometime they wander my mind, daze me and even mess up if I am not careful enough. But numbers or figures does matter in every aspect which even a slight mistake will make a big difference and bring into great trouble.

function and application of descriptive translation studies
1 introduction
the intention of this study is to explore possible advantages of descriptive translation studies as in its application in translation practice and translation analysis.
since early 20th century, translation studies gradually broke away from the marginal status within other related disciplines and established itself as an empirical science. from then on, schools of thought have kept coming out and each claims its legitimacy for existence. among these schools is descriptive translation studies (dts).
dts approaches translation from an empirical perspective. translation is viewed to be a social activity having significant importance in the receiving culture and for the target community. therefore, translation is dealt with beyond the linguistic realization and language comparison, and is incorporated in social and cultural context.
my attention was first directed to dts by its peculiar characteristic of observation, description and explanation. the subject is whatever happens in translation practice, from the determination of prospective function of translation to the process of translator&’s choice of strategies, brainstorming and the revision, to the final product making appearance in the target community.
the method of dts is basically descriptive. the prescriptive tendency and the problem-solution pattern is abandoned. translation phenomena are noted down. with accumulated data, some underlying truths about translation will come out which will prove to be instructive not only for theoretical probe but also for applied translation practice. i will apply this descriptive method in the case study of this thesis.
a convenient tool has been set up to conduct dts. norm is operative at every stage of description and explanation. function, process and product and their relationship as well are skeletal structure of what constitute descriptive studies. translation phenomena are accounted for with the help of norm.
the case taken in this thesis is the chinese classic the dream of red mansions. two english versions translated respectively by yang hsien-yi and david hawks are compared and observations are made in regard to their translation approaches.
in this regard, my observations are limited to several aspects, i hope in-depth observation and explanation will done in light of dts.
2 outline
2.1 development and major concepts of dts
in this part i will describe holms&’ basic map of dts and the relationship between function, process and product. i will also discuss some important concepts such as pseudo-translation, multiple translation, translationese, norm etc.
2.2 methodolgy
i will in this part discuss the methodology of dts before i apply the same to the case study in this thesis with emphasis to be placed on semiotic approach and the concept norm.
2.3 dts in contrast to other theories
a contrast study will be conducted here with the objective to find the difference of dts from other theories such as equivalence theory and the chinese xin da ya criteria. some advantage will possibly be shown in this study.
2.4 case study
in this part, translation of the dream of red mansions (also translated as the story of the stone) will be under investigation in light of dts. translation samples to be quoted here will be selected at random.
2.5 conclusion
based on the above elaboration of dts and the case study, possible conclusion will be on the advantage of dts in specific study of translation. suggestions on further research efforts will be made also.
